Hello out there,
I told you I liked video games a few days ago and today I want to talk about my favorite game. That’s right Legend of Zelda.
Okay, okay, I kid.
Minecraft has been a part of my life since alpha. (Alpha is an early stage of development. Don’t get mad at me for explaining this to people, not everyone plays games!) They used to have this free version you could download and all you could do was explore and break blocks. I was hooked right there and then. The second alpha hit I bought two copies.
I wasn’t alone in this, my best friend bought a copy as well. My second copy was reserved for my brother. I gave it to him and he made and account and everything but never played. His son picked up the account and has been playing it with me.

If you don’t know what Minecraft is you’ve probably been living with Patrick next to a pineapple under the sea.
Random quote that’s not actually in the article. BOOM.
There’s a couple options when it comes to this game. You can play completely unhindered and build till your heart bursts with blocky goodness. Or you can play in survival mode. (Some play with a mixture of both but… muh achievements!)
I prefer to play on survival. What happens in survival? Well you survive. Boom end of blog.
These messages are brought to you by— wait a gosh darn minute. What the heck is survival?
In survival you surv— collect resources, make a shelter, heard animals, fish, make a farm, dig underground, go to the Nether(Mentioned a few times in my book actually.), and then beat up a dragon in a realm called “The End”. Disclaimer: I’ve never beat the dragon. Gurrrl why did you just admit that?
Anyways you can find beautiful looking places like this.

Surviving seems like it might be something easy to do but there’s a few roadblocks. At night the monsters come out. Zombies, Skeletons, Creepers, Endermen, and the Drowned come up from the water and throw spears at you.
If you make it to the Nether there’s a whole slew of new monsters there too.
When you die you lose everything. You re-spawn and have to get back to your stuff in under 5 minutes or it starts disappearing. Usually it’s night at the time so there’s a slew of other monsters after you when you get there. It’s ends up being a mad dash and a scramble to organize your inventory so you can defend yourself again.
WTF did she say ‘slew’ more than once?
Yup.
People have made amazing structures in the game. Replicating towns from Lord of the Rings and other notorious sites.
There’s so much you can do that you could probably spend an infinite amount of hours in it.
The Developers have been continuously adding new content since it’s inception. In fact, I think the game is going to keep growing until the players get bored of it.
Speaking of the players getting bored, the game also has mods. Which means that people can make a piece of software that adds something new to the game.
Mods have gotten extensive! There’s so many out there that it’s nearly impossible to play them all.
If you can get past the game’s blocky exterior and want to have an amazing experience you should definitely pick it up.
So happy to talk about something lite today. I appreciate everyone who’s reading these even if you’re not a gamer.
Have an absolutely wonderful day!
Katherine
I have fun with, cause I found exactly what I used to be having a look for. You’ve ended my four day lengthy hunt! God Bless you man. Have a nice day. Bye
