Rairy Contrary

Hello out there,

I’ve been thinking on something for a while and I finally decided to do it. I put some of my work up for free.

It’s still all rights reserved but anyone can read it now.

There’s a website called Wattpad where you can put up your stories for people to see and that’s where I put it.

The story I put up is named Rairy Contrary.

It’s about a transgender teenager living in North Carolina when the infamous ‘Bathroom Bill’ came out. It barred trans people from going into certain restrooms.

Turns out that they couldn’t enforce the bill but there was major unrest for a time. Especially with people who don’t believe trans people should share the same bathrooms.

Rairy lives in a rural right leaning town. The whole town is ran by them. Things happen in this town that aren’t supposed to happen in your average town. Things are swept under the table when they shouldn’t be. Those with money are the law.

Who will listen to a single voice in an ocean of repudiation?

I’ll be adding more as I write it. I hope you enjoy it.

How meaningful are stories to you?

Hello out there,

Can you remember the first story you were told?

The first one I can remember is from my dad. He would tell us about his adventures growing up. As kids ourselves we ate that stuff up.

I remember watching my brother as my dad told his stories, he was transfixed. It was as if his next breath hung on every word. The awe on my brother’s face made me feel the importance of my father’s words.

This is when I knew that I wanted to write stories. I wanted to cause that reaction in a person. I wasn’t exactly thinking of it that way at the time because I was pretty transfixed at the time.

You see, I grew up in the 80s and 90s. My family didn’t have a bunch of video games and the video games that we did have were these really bad looking ones.

A story from our father allowed us to imagine something better. If I had grown up in today’s society I don’t know if I would have liked my father’s stories as much.

The world is so saturated with stories today it’s hard to fit yours in. It’s hard to find where we actually belong.

No app has ever given me the same feelings I felt when my father told us his stories.

His stories weren’t very elaborate. They were simple stories like the one about his family when they were out camping. A bear wandered into the area and their dog scared it away.

Or the time he had to dig into the snow and stay the night because a blizzard blew in.

Dad didn’t overwhelm us with every detail. He kept it simple.

This is the type of story I like to write. I want to keep people wondering what the next scene will be about. The overarching story is important but not as important as what is going to happen next.

This is why I write Slice of Life. It’s seeped in realism which is how we all experience the world. If you can write a great realistic story where it’s just another day I think you can write anything.

You can write about pancakes and their delicate aroma. About how fluffy they are and how they effortlessly slide down your throat.

Then turn around and give your cat a piece. It sniffs at it a few times and leaps into the air for seemingly no reason.

When you write Slice of Life it’s about connecting with nostalgia. It’s about pulling people into those situations in which they’ve experienced themselves. At least, that’s how I see it.

Dad wasn’t the only one that inspired story writing for me. I mentioned video games earlier because video games actually inspired my story writing. Role-playing games in particular.

I remember the game that inspired me as a kid. Final Fantasy IV.

It wasn’t the first role-playing game that I played but it was the first role-playing game with a story I could connect with.

Once I found that I could immerse myself in videogames stories I used those stories as a distraction from my own life.

It’s no secret that I’m transgender. In fact, I’ve been talking about it ever since I figured it out.

I used these stories, these tales of wonder, as a mask so I didn’t have to face myself.

While my situation is different and I used stories to push away reality. I think everybody uses stories as an escape. That’s the reason why sales of books have gone up during this pandemic.

Stories are so very important to the world. As a society, we used to sit around and tell stories to our families. Our families would then pass down those stories. It’s just something that isn’t done anymore.

While I only got a smidgen of the experience of passed down stories they’ve changed my life in unimaginable ways.

Maybe one day life will change and people won’t have to be so busy all the time. Maybe then the art of live storytelling will really come alive.

Thank you for reading along today. I hope you have a day worth telling someone about.

Adrian Excerpt Two

Hello out there,

This excerpt is one of my favorite scenes in my book, Adrian. I was inspired by Pat Trimmer— a Film friend— to improve this scene. I talked a bit about my film experience yesterday. You’re welcome to have a look at that too.

This is about a transgender character Adrian, her best friend Anne, and her cousin Claire. They are out shopping for girls’ clothing. Adrian was too scared to buy girls clothes and wanted to leave. Claire had different plans though. She had the bright idea the night before to dress up Adrian as a girl, so she wouldn’t feel so embarrassed.

I spent a lot of time crafting this. Enjoy!

12:25 Nov 24

I saw myself in the mirror as I walked out of the stall, and goosebumps cascaded down my arms. It was like the person in the reflection wasn’t me. My heart started beating faster, and I turned to go back into the stall. Anne spun me around, grabbed my hands, and dragged me in front of the mirror, forcing me to confront myself.

Anne danced in front of me, making minor adjustments to the wig. She would block the mirror then move out of the way, and I would catch a glimpse of myself, only for her to cover my vision again.

When she finished, I washed my hands and got a good look at my reflection. An amber-haired girl stared back at me. Her hair seemed to make her green eyes pop. She had a round face, but you could see her bone structure underneath. Her chest was flat as if she hadn’t yet gone through puberty. She was thin around the waist, which surprised me. I wondered if it was the guy’s clothes that made me feel as if I were fat. I shrugged and filed that thought away in my ‘Later’ file.

I caught a glimpse of the skirt as I went to dry my hands. It draped down, stopping above my knees. I knew I didn’t have hips under there, but the skirt gave the illusion that I did.

When I eventually finished with my hands, Anne said, “Sit on the counter.”

I pulled myself away from my reflection and hopped up on the ledge, wishing I could further examine my new other-self.

Claire came over, digging through her purse and pulling out different types of makeup.

“Try to go light,” Anne suggested.

“I might have to go darker around the eyes. Our complexions are close,” she said, pointing to her eyes, “and I always have to go darker around my eyes.”

“You should probably get your phone out so you can watch what she’s doing,” Anne suggested.

She was full of suggestions today, and I needed some way to show her I was appreciative. ‘Later’ file.

My hands weren’t doing anything, so I dug through my pack, grabbed my phone, turned on the selfie camera, and observed her handiwork.

I obeyed Claire’s directions as she had me open and close my eyes or hold my breath while she applied makeup. I didn’t think watching her helped me at all.

12:34 Nov 24

Claire finished my face, and the three of us stood there staring at me in the mirror.

“Weird,” Anne and I chorused, while Claire said, “Cool!”

Anne and I turned to Claire, and the bathroom door opened. Three women walked in. They went directly into the stalls, not giving us a second glance.

I grabbed my pack, zipped it up, and zoomed outside, too scared to say anything.

Once out of the bathrooms, I thought I would be safe, though my heart was beating a million miles a minute. I was scared that those women would know I wasn’t a girl.

Claire and Anne were only a few seconds behind and grabbed me when I started to hyperventilate. I swear I would have fallen over right then and there if they hadn’t been close by.

“It’s okay. You’ll be okay,” Anne cooed while holding onto me.

Several people walked by, and no one even looked at us, so I began to calm down. I saw a couple of guys show up in my peripheral vision, and one went into the men’s room. For some reason, guys didn’t seem to scare me. Either that or I wasn’t in the right mind-space to be worried about them.

“See? Everything’s okay,” Anne reassured me.

“You’re fine, see.” Claire did her best to reassure me, too.

I let out a deep sigh and noticed Anne staring at something behind me. “I think that’s Josh,” she whispered.

I started to turn, but she stopped me. “Don’t. He’s looking at us!” I could feel panic starting up again.

“Oh, em, Gee, he’s staring at your shoes!” Anne whispered.

I looked down at my shoes and saw that I still had my boy’s high tops on. Shit!

The men’s bathroom door opened, and a guy came out, heading toward where Anne was looking. Anne let out a deep sigh. “They’re leaving.”

Claire and I looked at each other and laughed. I don’t even know why.

My journey with Film

Hello out there,

Today, I’d like to talk about Film.

I bet you knew that already.

Its in the title.

I’ve been writing short film scripts for around two years. I’ve only written, like, five or six in that time because I’ve been working on my books. Actually, I started learning film a year before I even decided to write a book.

Between 2012-2013 I got ahold of some bitcoin— about half a coins worth— and in 2018 when it spiked up to 3k I decided to buy some film equipment. Kind of regret that I didn’t save it but that’s another blog all in itself. Anyways, I ended up getting my first nice camera, some lighting, a boom mic, and other odds and ends.

I focused on Cinematography, mainly because I admired camera work of the Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul shows. I learned a lot about lighting and where to place your camera etc. It was all so fascinating!

In April of 2018 I ended up joining a group in Fontana California. We struggled to find a project to work on. When we finally decided on one we filmed half of it and then the weather decided to poop on us. Our actor ended up cutting their hair so we called the whole thing off. It was a bust.

Every video out there said to prepare to fail and I told our group that we’re going to mess up.It took everyone a month or two to recover from it.

It’s okay to mess up so long as you learn from the mistakes.

We persisted though. By the end of the year, we had another one planned and we shot it all in two days. It went pretty well, our director wanted to go off script which is okay. However, we had a very limited time frame so we eventually shot it as it was written.

I absolutely loved some of the scenes we crafted in that film. Raj our director ended up editing it and we don’t have a link to share to it but I have a rough cut that I made. I might share it if coaxed by you all.

After this film is when I really jumped into writing full time. From early January 2019 to June 2019 I worked non-stop on my first book. The first draft was completed somewhere in the middle of June and I’ve been editing it ever since. The exact date is probably in my twitter post history.

After I finished my book more people joined our film group and a few left. We had some really dedicated people now and we pushed out another film.

Mike Keyser was helping organize everything and was essential to the next two short films.

This next one was a comedy about a clown, Pennywise’s cousin Dimewise. We smashed it out in a single day. We called the film “Psycho Therapy.” I was out of practice and there were some focus issues but it came out okay. It’s extremely corny though.

After that, I wrote another script with the help of a friend and we shot it. It was planned as a single 8-hour shoot and we got it done in that timeframe. I did a little extra work like getting certain background sounds that needed to be in it. This one was called “Stalker” I didn’t do the filming for this one. My camera skills still needed freshening up. So we had Eldred Grant on camera while I directed. I had a blast!

Johurdan our stalkee in the above film invited me to work on another short film with another group of people. I was hesitant because they were a whole new set of people. I have anxiety issues when it comes to new people but with Jho there my confidence grew. Jho and I ended up carpooling so I didn’t have to drive as far. If she sees this, thanks girl <3.

Meeting them was a wonderful experience! I started as a production assistant but as we went along I ended up suggesting changes. Luckily they were a pretty open group. The fact that they liked my suggestions was probably a part of it. As we went along I let them know that I did some filming too and when some of the other camera people couldn’t make it I was there to fill their boots. I ended up filming a good portion of the film. The film was shot at several different locations and I made all of them except for the last day. I was really sick and didn’t want to spread it.

I still haven’t seen the completed film yet but I’m looking forward to seeing it.

We’re in the early stages of pulling together our group again and making another film. I’m excited enough that I may end up doing some short films starring me. I do need the keep up my camera skills.

I’m so happy I could share this with you!

Have a great rest of your day,
Katherine

Techmology, what is it all about?

Today we’re talking about Technology and how it has influenced my life.

Tech has been a background piece in my life since I was born. We talked a little about this in my post called, “Lighter Side” and also a bit about it in yesterday’s “Lets talk Minecraft.”

It all started with the Atari. Then, of course, it was the old school Monochrome monitor/PC when I was eight. When I was around ten or eleven I got my first Gameboy and so on.

Everything changed in 1994. There was a huge earthquake in Northridge, California, which affected a lot of people. Mall ceilings collapsed and buildings crumbled. This changed the life of a lot of people. It changed my life because we ended up getting a bunch of old computer parts that the malls trashed.

I remember the day dad brought them home. (He worked at a landfill.) We still had that old computer from 2-3 years earlier that was no longer interesting to me.

But these new parts, they were interesting. I’d never seen the inside of a computer before and everything was so new!

Not the same one but similar.

That year, my dad and I put together two PCs. He had the remains of a Packard Bell. It was missing parts like a power source and disc drive. I remember it because it had that distinct sticker on it with the “Intel Inside” logo. We had to go to the store to get parts. Shopping on the Internet wasn’t a thing back then. Even if it was we didn’t have a PC that could connect to the Internet.

We, of course, got the parts and brought them home and put the PC together. The idea of a hard drive was pretty new to me because we’d been running everything off disks before that.

It was so fast! We had our old monitor hooked up and it worked, but there were color monitors out there so we ended up having to get one of those as well. Not right away, mind you, but we eventually got them.

The second computer we built was for me. It was a mash-up of computer parts not having a real brand name like Dad’s. I didn’t mind though. I had my very own pc!

We ended up getting AOL (we didn’t know any better) and used it for quite a while.

Me being the gamer, I found a game called Gemstone III. It was a MUD, which is pretty much a text-based MMORPG.

Text-what?

MUDs man. Get with it.

I would play with friends and even Dad got into it.

It was all such a really fun time. I’ve been building PCs since then and really enjoy it. I had a job working at Intel as a contractor and was putting windows builds on PCs by the time I left there. It was probably the best job I had.

In the 2010s, I made a YouTube channel and vlogged my heart out for a year. Then I swapped over to twitch.tv and streamed for about 2 years there.

I’m so happy to have grown up seeing all of this come to pass.

I mean, imagine a world without the average person having a cellphone! Those were the times I grew up in.

Thanks so much for listening to my story! I appreciate it.

Lets talk Minecraft

Hello out there,

I told you I liked video games a few days ago and today I want to talk about my favorite game. That’s right Legend of Zelda.

Okay, okay, I kid.

Minecraft has been a part of my life since alpha. (Alpha is an early stage of development. Don’t get mad at me for explaining this to people, not everyone plays games!) They used to have this free version you could download and all you could do was explore and break blocks. I was hooked right there and then. The second alpha hit I bought two copies.

I wasn’t alone in this, my best friend bought a copy as well. My second copy was reserved for my brother. I gave it to him and he made and account and everything but never played. His son picked up the account and has been playing it with me.

Hello Windows vista. Yikes!

If you don’t know what Minecraft is you’ve probably been living with Patrick next to a pineapple under the sea.

Random quote that’s not actually in the article. BOOM.

There’s a couple options when it comes to this game. You can play completely unhindered and build till your heart bursts with blocky goodness. Or you can play in survival mode. (Some play with a mixture of both but… muh achievements!)

I prefer to play on survival. What happens in survival? Well you survive. Boom end of blog.

These messages are brought to you by— wait a gosh darn minute. What the heck is survival?

In survival you surv— collect resources, make a shelter, heard animals, fish, make a farm, dig underground, go to the Nether(Mentioned a few times in my book actually.), and then beat up a dragon in a realm called “The End”. Disclaimer: I’ve never beat the dragon. Gurrrl why did you just admit that?

Anyways you can find beautiful looking places like this.

Ohhh yeah, that’s nice.

Surviving seems like it might be something easy to do but there’s a few roadblocks. At night the monsters come out. Zombies, Skeletons, Creepers, Endermen, and the Drowned come up from the water and throw spears at you.

If you make it to the Nether there’s a whole slew of new monsters there too.

When you die you lose everything. You re-spawn and have to get back to your stuff in under 5 minutes or it starts disappearing. Usually it’s night at the time so there’s a slew of other monsters after you when you get there. It’s ends up being a mad dash and a scramble to organize your inventory so you can defend yourself again.

WTF did she say ‘slew’ more than once?

Yup.

People have made amazing structures in the game. Replicating towns from Lord of the Rings and other notorious sites.

There’s so much you can do that you could probably spend an infinite amount of hours in it.

The Developers have been continuously adding new content since it’s inception. In fact, I think the game is going to keep growing until the players get bored of it.

Speaking of the players getting bored, the game also has mods. Which means that people can make a piece of software that adds something new to the game.

Mods have gotten extensive! There’s so many out there that it’s nearly impossible to play them all.

If you can get past the game’s blocky exterior and want to have an amazing experience you should definitely pick it up.

So happy to talk about something lite today. I appreciate everyone who’s reading these even if you’re not a gamer.

Have an absolutely wonderful day!

First Adrian Excerpt

Hello out there,

I have a treat for you today! Welcome to an Excerpt from my Slice of Life book Adrian! It’s currently being edited by “By the Hand Editing“. It is owned and operated by the amazing Author Angie Martin. It is a small team of five people so they can give you the attention you need. I’m happy to be working with them!

This is an excerpt from early on in the book. The main character used to have an eidetic memory and is suffering through its gradual fading. Adrian is 13 transgender and really into gaming.

Enjoy!

07:25 Nov 17

I looked back down at my phone just as iBallisticSquid repeatedly smashed the top of the roof of someone turtling. The guy eventually ran out of mats, Squid jumped inside his little bunker, spun around, and in a shot, I never could have made, blasted him with a shotgun. I loved Squid’s Fortnite videos.

My mom caught my attention. I looked up and saw her reaching for something on the top shelf of one of the cupboards. When she couldn’t reach it, she climbed up onto the counter, got on her knees, and grabbed a bowl.

I grinned and stared at her, trying to capture the moment in my head. A white gloss flashed over my vision, and the moment of my mother kneeling on the counter pulled forward from what I was seeing. It immediately faded.

I put a hand over my mouth and ran into the living room.

My knees shook in my arms as I pulled them closer to my chest and sobbed. No matter how many times I tried, I could capture moments anymore. It was like my brain refused to do it.

I snatched up one of the small pillows on the couch and chucked it across the room. It made me feel better, but not by much.

09:59 Nov 17

The fluffy feel of the towel on my hands as I dried them off made going to the bathroom a luxurious experience. I swung open the bathroom door and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I stopped and stared. The person in the reflection mirrored my actions; he ran his hands through his sandy-blonde curls and smiled, dimples forming as his face tightened. It was a hollow smile. We leaned forward, I looked into his green eyes and saw little flecks of amber.

I opened my mind to my imagination, and the boy in the mirror disappeared. He was replaced with a thin girl, her curly blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. She had on a silky red dress. One of her arms was held daintily to her side and the other one pressed to her chest. I could see her spinning around, making that red dress flare out. It reminded me of the dream I’d had yesterday.

The girl faded from the mirror and was replaced by the boy again. The smile we shared faded. I looked down at my T-shirt, lifted it, and stared at my stomach. Why am I so fat?

I turned away from the mirror and grabbed my stomach. There wasn’t much there, but I hated that I was able to grab it at all.

I slammed my fist on the counter while clutching my stomach with the other hand. YOU CAN LOSE THIS!

Tears ran down my face, and as I was about to wipe them away I noticed my mother in the doorway. I quickly pulled my shirt back down and dried my eyes.

Her face scrunched up and tears slowly spilled from her eyes. She spread her arms out, I walked to her and wrapped mine around her.

I had a feeling that this was going to be one of those days.

Lighter Side

Hello out there,

Yesterday got a little heavy. I talked a bit about copyright and fair use. You can check that out here if you like that sorta thing.

I want to do something different today I want to talk about my first love. That’s right, I wanna talk about video games!

Games have been a part of my life since before I was born.

The year was 1978. My parents absolutely loved arcade games. Dad often talked about playing Pacman or Galaga and getting such a high score that it would cause the games to crash or start over completely. So picking up an Atari was a no brainer. I’m pretty sure I heard them playing while I was still in my mom’s stomach. A year later on the 5th of May, I was born.

I’m not saying that video games caused my birth but I’m also not saying they didn’t. Okay, they totally did.

I grew up playing the Atari. The truth is that I don’t remember all too much about it. I do remember going with my mother to our local swap meet, and browsing through all of the game boxes. I also remember this baseball game that I learned how to play to perfection. No one could beat me and they were trying too. How did I know? My uncle was relentless and wouldn’t let me win any of the other games.

The best part about growing up at the time I did is that I got to see game consoles progress.

Technology advanced at such a quick pace. It was insane! Imagine waking up every couple of years and your mind is blown.

We started at 8 bit and then it went to 16 bit, 32 bit and 64 bit. After that, the ‘bit’ part of game systems didn’t matter. It was so damn exciting!

Everything was going faster and faster it made you wonder where it would end.

The real answer to that is that it didn’t. I was just as blown away by this year’s PS5 videos as I was of the PS3 videos, PS2, etc.

It does feel like things have slowed down some though which is a little disappointing.

I can’t be sad though because all the games we get to play are amazing! Even the ones that use older graphic styles.

I haven’t even mentioned PCs yet.

My dad decided to take a class on how to program and operate PCs. The course even came with a free computer which was pretty unheard of back then.

I was around 8 years old at the time. The Nintendo was already out, but that green and white monitor was something weird and new. I loved weird and new.

Dad taught me a bit about it and after that between consoles and the PC I couldn’t be stopped!

I tried my best to not get in trouble so I could play as long and as often as I wanted.

I did and it was amazing. I was even branded the ‘good’ child. Which in retrospect was probably not the best thing to say to children. I definitely had a chip on my shoulder after that.

I don’t buy consoles anymore I prefer PCs. However, Stadia is pretty damn cool. I bought Final Fantasy 15 to test it out and have had a mostly positive experience with it.

That’s my experience with video games. I still play and I still love them. Most of all I wait for new systems and games that’ll blow my mind.

You might be wondering what games I like or which ones are my favorite. That I can save for another day.

Thanks for reading along today. I hope your day is exciting even if you’re forced to stay inside.

Best Wishes
Katherine

Editing Adrian Part Two

Hello out there,

This is the follow-up to the post, Editing Adrian. We’re going to talk about some of my scenes that have to be removed. Warning this post has to do with copyright and fair use.

The first scene is about the main character, Adrian, and her best friend Anne. Adrian decides to play a song on her phone and before long, the two friends are singing together. They sing a few lines of the song and then Anne grabs Adrian’s phone and cuts off the music. She did this so she could hear Adrian sing. Adrian has been singing every day for about three years. She is transgender and has been using the music to help feminize her voice.

They sing the first two lines from the chorus of “Hello” from Adele.

The lyrics, in my opinion, makes the scene so much more involved. Anne is surprised by Adrian’s singing and she ends up dragging Adrian downstairs to sing for her mom.

In the second scene, Adrian and her other best friend, Scott, —Yeah she has two —are hanging out in Adrian’s room. Adrian draws pictures in a photo-realistic style and Scott is taking pictures of all the drawings she has on the wall. Adrian isn’t happy about this, so she decides to play a trick on her friend and sing to interrupt what he’s doing.

So naturally, Adrian pulls out her phone and starts playing Miley Cyrus’s “We Can’t Stop.” Adrian gets about three or four words out from the song before Scott is chasing her around the room. Adrian jumps on the bed so the phone is just out of reach. Scott changes his focus from the phone and tackles Adrian instead. He then makes her stop the music.

This is an instance where I, as a reader, would grab a pair of earphones and get them into my ears as fast as possible to listen to the song. It enhances the feel of the scene dramatically. In fact, I’ve watched the video dozens of times while editing it. You can thank me for the free views later, Miley. ❤

The last scene is my favorite. This scene has Adrian, Anne, and Adrian’s cousin Claire. Adrian and Anne are dating and Anne is having a hard time dealing with their break up. (She’s not attracted to girls and that’s Adrian’s goal.) So, Adrian breaks out her phone and tries to make the situation better. She plays Ariana Grande’s “Breathin'”. Adrian starts singing a verse then tosses the pillow she is holding to Claire, and she sings a verse. Claire tosses it to Anne, and she reluctantly sings the last of the chorus.

This really softened up Anne and feels so significant to the scene. The first line especially, which goes, “Somedays, things just take way too much of my en-a-gy.” It just fits the mood so well.

People can sing a ‘cover’ of artists’ songs without any copyright problems. As a writer just writing down lyrics is so taboo that I’m actually worried I may need to remove the quote from the above paragraph.

There really needs to be a change in fair use for us. Every instance my characters sing, makes me want to listen. I’m 100% sure that readers of my book would do the same.

I didn’t put all of the lyrics into these scenes. I just put a few lines. How does this not count as fair use? I think the loosening of laws needs to happen for us writers. Let us create!

I support copyright. I want my work to be protected but some of the restrictions are too strict. Perhaps you have some experience in this field and can let me know what you think?

I don’t have much money, so I can’t really take the chance on leaving my work the way it is. So, I will have to remove the scenes. Luckily my editor said she is going to help me craft something similar without having to use the lyrics.

Will putting only the title of these songs entice a reader to listen along with the soon to be muted characters?

I think they will be much less likely to.

A saddened single voice screaming into the ether,
Katherine

Editing Adrian

I got my manuscript back from my editors yesterday and I’ve been non-stop working on it.

I may end up adding a new scene at the beginning of the book but I haven’t started on it yet. I’ve been hesitating because I don’t like information dumps so I’m likely going to drop the info I want to add in gradually.

There were several small things I needed to change but I got through them pretty easily.

My manuscript has been looked at by my writers critique leader, a retired English teacher, and now a paid professional editor. So suffice to say my manuscript is looking pretty good! Feedback from everyone has been very positive.

There’s another round of edits coming after I return my manuscript to them and these are going to be about content. There’s around three different scenes where I’m going to have to change them but I want to talk about that tomorrow. Hint, it has to do with fair use and copyright.

Later on I’ll individually describe the scenes and perhaps get some idea’s on how to replace them along the way. Maybe you can help me too.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great morning!
Katherine
