Hello out there,
The last couple days I have been on a writing kick. I wrote probably eight pages in the last two days. Plus I wrote something like four pages a few days before that.
Needless to say I think this next chapter is going to be a big one.
Normally a chapter is around ten pages long. They usually come out at around 3.4 k words. This ones probably going to be in the 5 to 6k word long range.
There’s a lot that needs to happen but I really want to catch the story up with the Intermission.
If you’ve been following along at all you would know that I have been putting out a chapter around twice a month. Since I’m pretty close to actually finishing this one I might put it out early.
That being said I’m going to recruit a friend and see about doing a third draft of all the chapters. The story has developed/solidified in my mind and I promise to only make minor changes. That being said the experience will be better for new readers and will give you a chance to re-experience the story again. I’d love to see if you can pick out the changes I make.
The changes in particular I want to make are the actions between the dialog. In the first few chapters there isn’t nearly as much as how I’ve been writing lately. I will need to go through chapter by chapter and modify them. It’s going to take a while and there’s no ETA.
I’m looking forward to giving the characters a bit more personality as that’s one of the complaints I got from letting a few writer friends read it.
Those are your updates! I hope that some of this is satisfying to read. I know I’m feeling pumped about the future of the story.
