I got my manuscript back from my editors yesterday and I’ve been non-stop working on it.
I may end up adding a new scene at the beginning of the book but I haven’t started on it yet. I’ve been hesitating because I don’t like information dumps so I’m likely going to drop the info I want to add in gradually.
There were several small things I needed to change but I got through them pretty easily.
My manuscript has been looked at by my writers critique leader, a retired English teacher, and now a paid professional editor. So suffice to say my manuscript is looking pretty good! Feedback from everyone has been very positive.
There’s another round of edits coming after I return my manuscript to them and these are going to be about content. There’s around three different scenes where I’m going to have to change them but I want to talk about that tomorrow. Hint, it has to do with fair use and copyright.
Later on I’ll individually describe the scenes and perhaps get some idea’s on how to replace them along the way. Maybe you can help me too.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great morning!
Katherine
